ABOUT ME
I am an educator, researcher, and project organizer focused in the fields of digital media and the humanities.
Currently, I work as an Adjunct Professor and Lab Coordinator of the MediaLab in the Department of Media, Culture, and Communication (MCC) at New York University. Recently, I earned my M.A. from NYU’s Department of MCC with honors and a full scholarship under the Weber Shandwick Masters in Residence program.
My goal is to use my experience in media, technology, and project management in combination for my passion for digital media, education, and LGBTQ+ mental health advocacy.
When I am not working, I write and organize Dungeons & Dragons campaigns and Murder Mystery gatherings.

Work History
ADJUNCT PROFESSOR AND MEDIALAB COORDINATOR
NEW YORK UNIVERSITY
August 2021 - Present
Work in NYU's Department of Media, Culture, and Communication to teach practice-based digital media courses to undergraduate students and oversee functions of the MCC MediaLab to improve NYU's digital media literacy.
MCC MediaLab responsibilities include:

Instructing and developing the syllabus for undergraduate practice-based digital media courses

Coordinating the logistics and operations of the MCC MediaLab's staff, projects, events, social media, and communications

Organizing approximately 100 workshops in web coding, Adobe software, and digital project implementation per year

I work as a member of this research team to work closely with the owners and operators of the internet's fiber-optic cable network to develop greener operations for global communication. Responsibilities include:

Assist with developing seven-week long media themed educational programs, including project design, lecture content, and workshops. Other responsibilities include:
Conducting weekly lab sessions to aid students with their coursework and assignments for their class, “Fashion, Style, and Power”, to help them analyze how fashion and style reveal patterns of power and culture

Acted as the lead student Lab Assistant of the the MCC MediaLab to improve NYU’s digital media literacy through implementing practice-based coursework into curriculums. Responsibilities included:

As an NYU Weber Shandwick Master in Residence, I received my Master's degree under a full scholarship. My research focused on the intersection of LGBTQ+ youth, mental health, and digital technology. I completed my thesis, "Why the Telephone: LGBTQ+ Youth Suicide Prevention Technology in the United States," in April 2021 and was given the "Outstanding Service to the Department Award" during graduation.
